Two fic recs from two very different fandoms. Also, I seem to be in a under-1,000-words sort of mood. Maybe? Subconsciously perhaps.

20 Facts About Dudley Dursley (The Muggle Who Lived) by [personal profile] nope (Dudley, G, 965 words)

Notes: If anyone is set on writing on or about Dudley Dursley in a more than just scatting way, I sit up straight, listen, and, oftentimes, take notes because YAY DUDLEY (as a human being kthxbi). I love this ficlet to bits. I've already red it twice and I'm ready for a third go. It's a darling thing because it's IC and tongue-in-cheek and worth a read at least.

Stasis by [personal profile] bareteeth (Gerard/Gabe, PG, 997 words)
Summary: Gabe kisses Gerard for the first time on a Wednesday night.

Notes: Um. I have not read bandom fic in three years or so (late 2006 was probably the last time I read hardcore, though I seem to recall I was still dabbling a bit in 2007, but nothing too consequential). I stared at the header for... quite some time. I wasn't certain if I really wanted to open this very particular can o' worms. It's been a long time. It has. I went with it for the sake of not having any regrets (I'm bad with bookmarking stuff and even worse with reading what I've managed to bookmark, hence I would probably forget about the story's existence in one day flat). I was not disappointed with the story's quality. It's a great read, very engaging in the sort of way that I like bandom fic to engage me. It's always an experience with me. I recommend it heartily, even if you have no idea who these people are. Seriously. Very good read. The punch is in the length (it always is). Awesomeness. Great language (it's always the words that get me). Great characterisation. Go read. Seriously.
